We are currently recruiting for two individuals to ­fill key roles within our Commercial Team – a Network Schedules Manager and a Commercial Development Manager. These are two hugely important positions and will play a fundamental role in driving our business’ future growth.

Responsibilities:

This role ensures that the business continues to operate an attractive, relevant and sustainable network of bus services. The Network & Schedules Manager oversees the timely and accurate production of service timetables and driver and duty schedules.

Duties:

  • Leading the sustainable development of the company’s network of services through the production of service timetables and vehicle schedules, as well as managing a team of Network Planners & Schedulers.
  • Maintaining a strategic oversight of the company’s operating area, including road network performance, competitor activity and infrastructure projects.
  • Being responsible for a programme of continuous improvement for schedules efficiency, harnessing the potential of scheduling technology to reduce operating costs and improve driver working patterns.
  • Supporting the Commercial Development Manager to develop and maintain the company’s portfolio of contracts.
  • Ensuring that the company produces accurate and consistent data and information, to keep our customers, staff and other stakeholders informed. This includes compliance with all legal requirements for data provision.
  • Supporting the Head of Commercial with all other reasonable duties as required.

Skills Required:

Attention to detail, people management, commercial and financial acumen, attention to detail, ability to manage stakeholders. Extensive experience of bus network planning is essential, along with the skills to manage complex datasets and processes.
