We are currently recruiting for two individuals to ­fill key roles within our Commercial Team – a Network Schedules Manager and a Commercial Development Manager. These are two hugely important positions and will play a fundamental role in driving our business’ future growth.

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for identifying and securing new income opportunities and contracts for the business. The Commercial Development Manager leads on building effective relationships with current and prospective customers with a focus on driving revenue growth.

Duties:

  • Managing the company’s portfolio of contracts, engaging with current customers on matters including mobilisation, contract performance and renewals.
  • Working with the Head of Commercial and Network & Schedules Manager to deliver a prudent bidding strategy, prioritising the sustainable growth of contract revenue and market share.
  • Identifying and securing additional revenue opportunities, such as secondary income streams and non-traditional work for the business. This includes the management of bids for special events and ad-hoc opportunities.
  • Representing the company with a wide range of external stakeholders, ensuring that the business remains as the “partner of choice” through a collaborative and enthusiastic approach.
  • Working with the Revenue & Data Manager to support the development of the customer experience, particularly with regards to technology and ticketing.
  • Supporting the Head of Commercial with all other reasonable duties as required.

Skills Required:

Attention to detail, commercial and financial acumen, stakeholder management. Previous experience of contract bidding and management is essential, with a strong preference for experience gained in the public transport sector.
