Operator announces new appointments within its management team
Paul Denne, Stagecoach South’s Engineering Manager for Andover and Winchester is to retire
Stagecoach South has announced a number of new appointments within its bus business which serves Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex.
Katie Wagstaff is appointed operations manager in Basingstoke. Wagstaff began her career as a graduate trainee at Stagecoach South in 2014 and has since worked in various management roles within the Stagecoach London business and was previously Operations Manager for Plumstead depot.
Mark Jackson is promoted to operations manager at Andover. Jackson began his career as a driver at Andover in 2001 and progressed to be leading driver and then controller, a position he held until 2015 when he was appointed as assistant operations manager at Basingstoke. Jackson has been instrumental in Basingstoke’s development over the past 5 years, and more recently served as acting operations manager at the town.
Nigel Lukowski is to become assistant operations manager at Basingstoke. Lukowski brings with him a wealth of operational experience and will provide great support to Wagstaff and the team at Basingstoke.
Alec Bradley is promoted to the position of engineering manager at Worthing. Bradley joined Stagecoach in 2005 and completed his apprenticeship at Chichester depot, becoming a shift fitter there when he qualified. He was then appointed as assistant engineering manager at Chichester in 2012 and in 2015 moved to become assistant engineering manager at Winchester.
Paul Denne, engineering manager for Winchester & Andover will be retiring at the end of February 2021. Denne celebrated an incredible 50 years service with the company in 2020.
Simon Drewery will replace Denne as engineering manager for Winchester and Andover. Drewery completed engineering apprenticeships with BAE Systems and Southern Vectis in the early 2000’s and has experience in both the PCV and HGV sectors. He was previously deputy engineering manager at Bromley depot in London, and before he was assistant engineering manager at Basingstoke until earlier in 2020.
Andrew Cleeve will be moving to Winchester as assistant engineering manager. Andrew is currently assistant engineering manager at Guildford.
