Passenger Transport event will take place in November

A new Passenger Transport-sponsored event will bring investors, lenders and operators in the transport field together in November, with the support of legal firm Osborne Clarke, the TAS Partnership and Transport Events Group. Under the overall heading Public Transport, Private Finance, the event will feature presentations from Giles Fearnley, managing director of FirstGroup’s UK Bus Division and Passenger Transport analyst and TAS director Chris Cheek.

“This is the first of what we hope will become a series of events in which we explore particular topics of interest to both the City and transport operators, enabling frank discussions and providing a unique networking opportunity,” explained Passenger Transport editor Robert Jack. “We see this as very much part of our role – providing news and analysis every fortnight, bringing people together through our columns and through events like this.”

Chris Cheek added: “In the current climate, the private sector has a crucial role to play in funding and delivering improved transort infrastructure and services: this gives us all a huge opportunity for the future, and both financiers and operators need to be in a position to deliver. Dialogue and partnership will be vital in doing so.”

Public Transport, Private Finance will be held at Osborne Clarke’s offices at No 1 London Wall on November 15 from 18:00 onwards. CLICK HERE for details.
