Network Rail’s Robin Gisby will deliver the inaugural address at first Young Operators event.

Robin Gisby, managing director of network operations at Network Rail, will be launching the new IRO Young Operators with an inaugural address on ‘Network Rail’s role in the future of UK Rail’ on May 8. The event will take place at the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, London.

The 10-year-old institute has launched a new section on its website to cater for young operators, providing information relevant for its younger members and offering them the chance to take part in events and activities.

“Our aim is to provide a focal point for young people working in operations on the railways,” says IRO’s Louise Gale.

“We would like to hear from younger members of they have ideas they would like to share for what IRO Young Operators can do to help, guide and inspire them or their team.

“The IRO is always looking for new ways to meet the needs of our members, and listened carefully to your feedback in our Members’ Survey last year.”

To book your place at the first Annual Seminar for IRO Young Operators contact Attendee numbers are limited, so IRO recommends booking early.
