Scheduling Assistant


A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within our really good bus company and we’re on the hunt for a scheduling assistant who will play an instrumental role in our building back better as lockdown restrictions ease and we begin forming our new network.
the individual

At trentbarton we’re all about people, and we’re looking to find an enthusiastic and passionate individual who can help us rebuild our bus network following the coronavirus pandemic. The individual must be driven and self-motivated, capable of contributing to our commercial team as we prepare for the future. They will be a good communicator, a real team player and have a strong eye for detail. The individual will have a background in understanding data and enjoy problem solving. Ideally the individual will have experience of scheduling and a sound knowledge of basic scheduling principles. Computer literacy is required and experience of scheduling software is preferable. Training will be available to help refine knowledge and skills where required.

the challenge

Our scheduling assistant reports to our commercial manager and is responsible for assisting in the scheduling of our 300 bus strong network. They will play an integral part of developing the network and will be expected to put forward suggestions and improvements; as well as constructing and compiling timetables. In addition the scheduling assistant will help administer and manage our scheduling and operational software tools (Omnibus), as well as ensuing high quality and accurate information is produced for external release for stakeholders, industry bodies and customers.
