Head of Utility Diversions – Metro

Salary range: £66,552 per annum + excellent benefits
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Who we need

We are looking for a dynamic and pragmatic project management professional to manage the delivery of all the Utility diversions for our various extension projects.

You’ll be used to working at a senior level. Your skills and experience will enable you to effectively negotiate with the Utility companies and agree a variety of delivery methods for the diversions, delivered in time to meet the schedule needs of the construction projects.

Key to success in this role is your confidence in dealing with internal and external key stakeholders in the public and private sectors, contractors and service providers, and your ability to build effective working relationships while holding people to account.

About the team

This is a truly exciting time for the Metro team… The West Midlands is going through a period of major expansion which will see the Metro network triple in size between 2018 and 2026. The first phase of this expansion is currently underway and will see the opening of four new extensions by 2023 with Phase 2 of the programme being delivered by 2026.

We are a dynamic project team working in partnership with Midland Metro Alliance and Midland Metro Limited to design, build and operate the West Midlands Metro tramway and network, better connecting the people of our region.
