Head of Network Transformation

Salary range: Circa £75,000 per annum
Hours: 36.5
Contract: Permanent

Are you ready to take on an exciting new challenge and play a significant role in transforming the public transport system in the West Midlands?

About the role

The Head of Network Transformation is an exciting new role which will support some of the major business developments required to help inform the future shape and operating models across the regional transport network. New powers under the 2017 Bus Services Act could change the way in which bus services are delivered in the future in the West Midlands and we are looking for someone to fully assess these bus delivery options and provide recommendations on how the region can best take forward our ambitious Vision for Bus. This is a progressive role that will lead the way in developing innovative new thinking around how we can harness opportunities for the public transport network through developments such as 5G technology. The post holder will also play a key role in supporting the emerging strategic view of how best to expand and develop our Park and Ride network.

About the team

The successful applicant will join a team of other transport delivery professionals within our Integrated Network Services Directorate – proudly delivering public transport services and facilities across an integrated transport system for the residents, businesses and visitors to the West Midlands.

Who we are

We are committed to the planning, development and management of an integrated transport system for the region that is reliable, affordable and accessible for all. A standard setter in the industry, our achievements are regularly recognised nationally, most importantly as the winner of ‘City Region Authority of the Year’ in 2016, 2017 and 2019 at the National Transport Awards.

Who we need

Whether it’s developing and delivering new infrastructure, collaborating on future mobility projects, operating the West Midlands Metro or helping customers to keep moving, TfWM needs creative and innovative talent to join our already excellent team and help us make a real difference to residents, businesses and visitors travelling in and around the West Midlands.

Our Head of Network Transformation will have a passion for innovating and transforming service delivery in a way that improves the lives of local people as well as a proven track record in delivering schemes and initiatives to achieve this.

In return for your hard work and commitment, we will reward you with a range of competitive and attractive benefits.
