Baroness Vere: ‘2020 will prove to be an exciting year for buses’

2020 will be “a transformational year for the bus network”, says buses minister Baroness Vere.

In the foreword for the UK Bus Summit Review 2020, which accompanies this edition of Passenger Transport, Vere says that extra funding, the UK’s first ever bus strategy and bus open data are among a range of factors that have created “fantastic opportunities to grow [bus] patronage, tackle congestion and improve the local environment”.

She writes: “2020 will prove to be an exciting year for buses and I look forward to working together to deliver a bus revolution that will keep Britain moving ahead.”
