Commercial Manager

Cardiff Bus is the major provider of bus services within the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan, with 700 employees, 220 vehicles and a turnover of £32 million.  Following an internal promotion, we have a vacancy for a Commercial Manager, reporting to our Operations and Commercial Director.

 What do we require?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to manage a small team charged with the delivery of our commercial and marketing functions.

You should have the following:

  • Experience of managing a Planning/Commercial department within the transport sector.
  • Be able to contribute to strategy and planning.
  • Fully aware of the legal compliance within the industry.
  • A good understanding of all commercial aspects of a large bus company and be able to also demonstrate some ‘hands on’ experience
  • Previous experience of sector specific software, e.g Omnibus Systems, EPM Reporting etc, along with good IT skills.
  • Commercial flair, be innovative in your thinking.
