Rail users and organisations are invited to nominate cycle-friendly initiatives that help users take advantage of pedal power.

Now in their 12th year, the Rail Delivery Group’s National Cycle-Rail Awards will recognise the progress made by the rail industry and associated organisations towards encouraging integrated cycle-rail travel. They will reward outstanding and innovative schemes, groups and individuals that have improved or encouraged more combined cycle and rail travel, such as better bike facilities or customer service. The awards will be sponsored by Cyclepods with Passenger Transport as the official media partner.

RDG has a clear aim to encourage the greater use of cycles to access the railway. The awards are intended to enable RDG and its partners to move closer towards fulfilling this ambition, through improving communication and the spread of best practice across the industry.

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on September 9.
