Opinion poll to select operator name and brand

HCT Group has launched a new public competition to choose the vehicle branding and name for its forthcoming bus operations on the Channel Island of Jersey.

The operator has shortlisted two designs created by graphic designer David Shaw which aim to reflect “Jersey’s pride in its parishes” and “natural beauty”. Meanwhile, it is soliciting suggestions from the public for a suitable name. HCT Group plans to compile a shortlist based on these suggestions for another public vote later on in the summer.

“It is Jersey’s bus service, so we strongly believe that the public should have their say about what it looks like and what it’s called,” explained HCT Group chief executive Dai Powell. “We also want to have a conversation about how the service itself can develop, so we’ll be starting a consultation process shortly.”
