George Muir has been shortlisted for this year’s Logistics and Transport Journalist of the Year prize, sponsored by Bis Henderson. The prize is part of the prestigious CILT(UK) Annual Awards for Excellence 2011.

Muir, who was formerly director general of the Association of Train Operating Companies, has been shortlisted for award for articles that he has written in Passenger Transport since it’s launch in March this year. Also shortlisted are Christian Wolmar (RAIL) and Brian Weatherley (Commercial Motor).

The winner will be announced the CILT(UK) Annual Awards for Excellence 2011 Gala Dinner on Thursday October 20, 2011. This event will be held at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square.
